All sets for KVF national playoff finals as action returns to Nairobi

The race to be crowned the 2025 Kenyan National Volleyball champions will take centre stage this Saturday, June 6, 2025, as the four elite volleyball clubs battle it out in the playoff finals.
The much-awaited final action returns to Nairobi’s Kasarani Indoor Arena after the semifinals were held in Mombasa’s Makande Indoor Hall.
Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) and General Service Unit (GSU) will face off in the men’s final as Kenya Pipeline seeks to stop the Directorate of Criminal Investigations’ (DCI) surprise surge in the women’s category.

Friday will see the Directorate of Criminal Investigation team take on Kenya Pipeline in the first matchup.
The clash to be played on a best-of-three basis will see DCI lay quest for another upset of a fancied rival following the semifinal win over Prisons.
The Investigation Agency club stunned Kenya Prisons Queens 3-2 in a thrilling encounter to book their place in the finals.
DCI storms finals
DCI was forced to leave everything on the pitch to claim the result in a decisive fifth set to punch their tickets to the final.
They now stand a game away from sealing a historic campaign by clinching their maiden volleyball league title.
Patrick Sang’s team awaits a well-drilled Pipeline side under the tutelage of Geoffrey Omondi.

Pipeline downed defending champions KCB in a 3-1 defeat on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in Mombasa.
Coach Sang spoke of their intention to last the mile and bag the ultimate prize following their win over Prisons.
“I must appreciate the ladies for the tactical game and the dedication they showed. We promised that this season we will have a gold medal, and next month we start our preparations for the finals,” he stated.
“ I’m happy for the support we got from the DCI. Their support has been a factor in this result, and we promise to fight hard to attain the target,” he posited.
In the men’s category, the KPA team, who produced a dominant display to dispatch Kenya Prisons in three straight sets, will have to contend with the discomfort of playing away from home against GSU.
The paramilitary outfit shrugged off Equity Banks in an emphatic fashion to claim a 3-0 win and their slot in the finals.
They produced identical 25-20 victories in the first two sets before slamming the door shut on Patrick Owino’s team with a 25-16 score in the final set.
